Wednesday (12/4/1895) -- Word has been received by local railroad men that Si Buck, a well known engineer employed by the Pennsylvania Company, had lost his life.  The accident occurred at Conesville at 7 o'clock yesterday morning.  He had alighted from his engine for orders, but slipped on the platform and fell under the engine.  He was badly mangled, one leg being completely severed from his body.
